Cancellations and refunds

Version 2026-09-25 · In force from 25 September 2026

The short version

  • Cancel any time from Billing on your account page. It stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and the rest of that period is not refunded.
  • Buying as a private individual? You can cancel within 14 days of buying. A subscription or pass is refunded for the time you have not used; a perpetual licence or maintenance is refunded in full as long as you have not yet downloaded or activated the software after asking to start straight away.
  • Trials end on their own. There is nothing to cancel.

This page explains how our Terms of Sale work in practice. The Terms of Sale are what apply.

1. Cancelling a subscription

Sign in, open Billing and choose Cancel subscription. You can also email helpdesk@tesselform.com. We confirm the cancellation by email.

Cancelling stops your subscription renewing. Tesselform keeps working until the end of the billing period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Until then, you can resume the subscription from the same page. The rest of the period is not refunded, unless you are a consumer cancelling within 14 days (section 3).

Passes, perpetual licences and maintenance are paid once and never renew, so there is nothing to cancel: a pass simply ends, and a perpetual licence keeps working.

2. Free trials

A free trial ends automatically at the end of its period. We never ask for payment details for a trial, so it cannot turn into a paid subscription on its own. During a trial every tool works but saving and exporting are switched off, so nothing you make is kept until you buy. There is one trial per person, per organisation and per computer.

3. Your 14-day right to cancel

If you buy as a consumer (for yourself, not for a business), you may cancel within 14 days of the day your order is confirmed, without giving a reason. This right is for consumers only; business customers cancel as section 1 explains.

  • A subscription or a pass is refunded for the time you have not used: you pay only for the days you had it, and a pass that has not started yet is refunded in full. To end a subscription this way, choose Straight away, with a refund when you cancel from Billing; the page shows the refund before you confirm, and offers it for the 14 days. It ends that day, and Tesselform stops at its next check-in, and within 14 days on a computer that stays offline.
  • A perpetual licence or maintenance is digital content with no period to share out. At checkout we ask whether you want to start using it straight away. If you say yes and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel, you lose it once you download or activate the software. Until you do either, you keep it for the full 14 days, with a full refund.

You can also cancel under this right by telling us clearly before the 14 days end: email helpdesk@tesselform.com, or send us the form below.

4. When we give refunds

  • You cancel within your 14-day right (section 3): a refund for the time you have not used, or in full, as section 3 explains.
  • The software is faulty: if you are a consumer, you have the remedies the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you, including a repair, a replacement or some or all of your money back. If you are a business customer, the remedy in the warranty in our Licence Agreement applies.
  • We end your subscription without fault on your part, stop offering Tesselform, or change it in a way that materially harms how you use it and you cancel: a refund of the unused part of your billing period.
  • A payment was taken by mistake: a full refund of that payment.

Otherwise, when you cancel, the rest of the billing period you have paid for is not refunded; it simply runs to its end. Credits for removing seats are applied to future invoices. Passes, perpetual licences and maintenance are not refunded once bought, except as above.

If a payment is refunded in full, or reversed through your bank or card issuer, what it paid for ends. While a payment is disputed, the licence keys it paid for may be put on hold.

We make refunds to the payment method you used, within 14 days of agreeing that one is due, at no charge to you.

5. Model cancellation form

If you are a consumer, you may use this form to cancel under section 3. You do not have to use it; any clear statement will do.
